NARS Blushes Review | Glam Radar

I never been unhappy about anything from NARS cosmetics… so, with my addiction I hauled 3 powder blushes, these are…
Nars Gilda
A perfect natural blush for my NC20 skin, that adds a hint of color to my cheeks. I so love all the Nars matte blushes texture. Gilda is a matte coral blush best suited for cool toned skin tone, as it has pink tinged to it.. correct me if I’m wrong.
- great shade for summer months
- gives out a natural “blushed” look
- very well pigmented… blends beautifully in skin, buildable.
- matte, velvety, finely milled-not powdery or chalky.
- good staying power.. doesn’t fade completely
- could be too orangey for some
- black rubber case is like a dirt magnet
Nars Orgasm
This is one of my favorite blushes- pretty warm peachy pink shade with gold shimmer. Gives me the most amazing rosy dewy cheeks ever.. classic, very well-known, cult’s favorite. It has been claimed as universally-flattering for all skin tones from milky to chocolatey!
Pros
- the shade is versatile, can be used on most skin tone.
- gives the glowy and dewy look because of the shimmer.
- you can never have the “clown” look as the shade is subtle and yet buildable
- soft in texture, finely milled-not powdery.
- Good staying power.. last more than a half day.
- a little too shiny or oily looking for some
- case gets dirty easily-you could see lot of excess powder and shimmer.
- if your brush is too fluffy and large, color might be hardly seen for some.
Nars Desire
Described as “cotton candy pink” by Nars. Yes, I agree.. it looks shockingly pink in the pot! However, with the proper application, using a light hand and right tool- like a stippling brush, or any large fluffy blush brush on just the apples of the cheeks, it creates a gorgeous sheer pink, that works well to brighten and prettify.
- very well pigmented.. blends beautifully in skin, build able and just a small amount is needed.
- no shimmers or sparkles.. matte, velvety, and finely milled.
- good staying power.. it lasts all day
- could be easily overdone
- the black rubber case is like a dirt magnet
- pricey for some
*heavily swatched Where to purchase and how much? I’ve got mine at Rustan’s Makati for 1,350PHP (approx $30)
