Dior Rouge Nude Lipstick- Charnelle | Glam Radar

Here is my review of Dior Rouge Nude Lipstick- Charnelle !

Sophisticated packaging with engraved patterns on alternate sides

The shiny blue CD on the lid.

Engraved Dior on the lipstick

I love Dior, and after a lot of time debating on whether I should get a ‘not so cheap’ lipstick I gave in and done the deed. I must say I do not feel guilty at all. This is probably one of my favourite lipsticks in my collection.

I bought the shade 459 ‘Charnelle’. Initailly the famous shade ‘Grege’ was the colour I wanted, especially with all the photos of Natalie Portman looking stunning in that shade. It was however out of stock and I had to think of an alternative. (I am way too lazy to wait for it to come back in stock). The colour Charnelle is slightly more pinker toned than Grege but they are both so similar that you wouldn’t need both unless you have the money to do so. Ha.

The shade looks so nice on my pale complexion but I believe it would suit many light to medium skin tones. It is not a matte lipstick as it is not drying at the slightest. It is highly pigmented though and lasts a few hours on the lips. It has a slight shine and feels very much like a balm on my lips. So no heavy weight on the lips which is great compared to the product on my latest blog post. The smell of this product is amazing!! I love lipsticks with rosy/ sweet smelling scents. L’Oreal also do lipsticks that smell exactly like this one so I will have to find a similar shade by L’Oreal if you want a cheaper alternative.

The packaging is sophisticated and stunning. The blue CD on the lid shines when in the light which is all very exciting. I also love how they engrave Dior on these lipsticks, though the sad thing is using the product and seeing it fade. icon_sad-1 With some products like these, designers tend to focus more on the packaging than the actual product it self, however with this lipstick that is not the case.

It is pricey, but that comes with buying from a designer like Dior. I bought this product from FeelUnique for £25.00. I love this website as they sometimes sell products cheaper than other places. So be sure to check it out.

Do you love Dior lipsticks or any of their makeup products? Is the price worth it? What colours would you buy?
