YSL Volupte Sheer Candy Lipstick
So I was pleasantly surprised when I checked my Debenhams card when I was in store to find that I had £20 worth of points to spend! I didn’t want to buy something that I would normally go for so I decided to look at the Yves Saint Laurent stand. The YSL Rouge Volupte lipsticks are renowned for being gorgeous and high end. I didn’t however particularly fancy spending my points on a lipstick that I wouldn’t be able to use much so I looked at he YSL Volupte Sheer Candy Lipsticks. So the Sheer Candy lipsticks are ‘transparent, candy-like texture that nourishes lips like a balm and gives them a subtle shine’. I picked up number 4 which is ‘Succulent Pomegranate’.
The packaging is breath taking… yes I did just say that! I think this is actually pretty than the YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick in it’s gold casing. The lipstick is sturdy as well as beautiful.
The lipstick glides on effortlessly and is very moisturising. It offers a tint of colour to lipstick but it is by no means a full colour lipstick. The colour that I choose is a magenta colour with blue undertones. It can be worn for everyday or at night.
The lipstick lasts around 2 hours as it appears to almost tint the lips. I am not sure if this is because the colour I have is darker than most. It smells absolutely gorgeous – mine smells of pomegranate so I am not sure whether the smell differs for the other colours or not. It also feels as if it has lip plumping properties in the lipstick too!
Overall, I love this lipstick! It’s gorgeous to look at both in the applicator and on the lips. I feel really sophisticated when I whap this lipstick out because it’s just beautiful!
