L’Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder vs Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Makeup – Glam Radar

by Jane · March 15, 2015

The new L’Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder has been speculated as being a dupe for the Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Makeup (they’re under the same parent company, L’Oreal). I didn’t believe ‘exact dupes’ existed (texture, finish, ingredients), not even from the same company (e.g. YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat vs L’Oreal True Match Lumi)…until now.

loreal-magic-nude-liquid-powder-vs-giorgio-armani-maestro-fusion-makeup-500x273-1 Low and behold, these two are exactly the same products. The finish, texture, and staying power are identical. If I’m being nitpicky then the L’Oreal is a hair thinner and doesn’t cling to my dry patches as much but that’s better isn’t it…? L’Oreal’s also doesn’t contain any fragrance and is SPF 18 instead of SPF 15. How do I know they’re exactly the same? All the highlighted parts in the ingredients are identical and in the same order (ingredient lists always run from highest to lowest concentration). Cyclohexasiloxane and dimethicone are switched but they’re silicones and interchangeable. What?! You’re telling me that all the ingredients of the L’Oreal Magic Nude is inside the Giorgio Armani Maestro? You’re kidding me! lorealmagicnudevsgiorgioarmanimaestrofusion5 What are the differences and how do they change the product? Fragrance, nelumbium speciosum flower extract (skin conditioning), limonene (skin irritant, fragrance), benzyl salicylate (skin irritant, fragrance, sunscreen) , synthetic fluorphlogopite (synthetic mica; thickener/filler), linalool (skin irritant, fragrance), benzyl alcohol (skin irritant, preservative, fragrance), caprylic/capric triglyceride (moisturizing, thickener), citrus aurantium amara (bitter orange) flower oil (skin conditioning, fragrance), butylphenyl methylpropional (fragrance), hexyl cinnamal (skin irritant, fragrance) Via google search, you can see that most of the differences are fragrances or skin irritants. Only a few are beneficial but probably not compared to all the irritants. Bottom line? Save $62 on the Giorgio Armani Maestro and buy the L’Oreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder for ~$13 instead. Less fragrance, less irritants, and less costly for the same exact thing!! I even got mine for $1 with coupons. Gotta love CVS 😉 Here’s the L’Oreal on one half of my face and the Giorgio Armani on the other. Enjoy! 😉 A full review of both will be up within a few days. Hooray! I’m wearing L’Oreal 320 Natural Beige & Giorgio Armani #5.5. I’m an NC25-30 skintone. There are 12 shades in each line.  loreal-magic-nude-liquid-powder-vs-giorgio-armani-maestro-fusion-makeup-look-500x348-1 loreal-magic-nude-liquid-powder-vs-giorgio-armani-maestro-fusion-makeup-look1-500x318-1 loreal-magic-nude-liquid-powder-vs-giorgio-armani-maestro-fusion-makeup-look2-500x318-1
