Urban Decay De-slick in a tube Mattifying Gel – Debenhams £18
Urban Decay Razor Sharp Ultra Definition Finishing Powder – Debenhams £2
These two items are my absolute makeup must haves and I don’t know what I would do without them (not even joking). I love them.
Firstly I’ll talk about the Urban Decay De-slick mattifying lotion. I’ve been using this for more than two years, which speaks fro itself really. I first bought this for my prom when I was in desperate need of something which would keep my makeup in place and not leave me looking like a shiny mess on pictures and this did the job perfectly. The lady on the Urban Decay counter recommended this to me and i’m really naive and believe everything so I bought it and it lived up to my high expectations. It kept my makeup in place all through my prom and my face didn’t look shiny at all.
I never used to wear this everyday because I never used to wear makeup that often but now I apply it whenever i’m wearing makeup.
I tend to apply this under my makeup but it can be applied on top of makeup throughout the day to keep skin looking matte. I usually just blot it with a tissue or blotting sheets but I have applied some De-slick throughout the day a few times before and it did seem to reduce the shine quite a bit.My second equally favourite Urban Decay product is the Razor Sharp Ultra Definition Finishing Powder
. My Parents bought this for me for Christmas like last, last year, they’ve never bought me makeup before because they know how fussy I am but this was the perfect present.
I hadn’t heard of it before but the first time I used this I knew it was going to be a permanent fixture in my makeup bag. It comes with a sponge but I prefer to apply my powder with a brush. It feels so soft and silky. It instantly mattifies the skin and gives your makeup a whole new look. I used to wear this every so often rather than everyday because it does transform your normal everyday makeup to a more full, occasion makeup look but when I ran out of my everyday powder I decided to wear this and now i’m a bit addicted to it and I never feel like i’m ready if I haven’t applied it.
One thing with it is it does create a bit of a dust cloud (then again thats loose powder for you) if you shake the excess from your brush or if you drop it like I have on more than one occasion. What can I say, I really am clumsy. Apart from that there is absolutely nothing I do not like about this product and I really can’t see me changing to another powder anytime soon.
Have you tried any of these before?
