Yesterday was a wonderful day! I got surprised at work with roses from my boyfriend with the sweetest note. Then my parents came back from their two week European vacation. So to top off this amazing day I made my family lasagna. Now this lasagna has a special place in my heart because it was the dish that started my passion for cooking. It is a family recipe and I have made it several times for my friends and family. The only time this recipe went bad was when my boyfriend and I just started dating and I decided to make it for him for his birthday. I guess I was so nervous that it didn’t turn out the way I wanted it to. Total disaster but we still ate it even though it was a sloppy mess. Well, here is the recipe hope you all enjoy it!
What You Need
1 box of lasagna pasta
4 lb package of ground beef sirloin
1 package of beef bouillon
1 large jar of Traditional Prego Tomato Sauce
1 large bag of Three Cheese Mexican Cheese Shredded
1 large bag of Mozzarella Cheese Shredded
What You Need To Do
Begin to boil the pasta in salted water. Then preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large non stick saucepan over medium heat add the meat and begin to cook. Season meat as desired with complete seasoning, garlic powder, and the beef bouillon package. Once the meat is done cooking add the whole jar of tomato sauce. Then set that aside and then get your cooked pasta ready. In a small bowl add half a cup of sour cream and mix it with two tablespoons of milk and set aside as well. Now in 9×13 dish pan spray it with non stick cooking spray. Add the bottom layer of pasta, then meat, both cheeses, then drizzle on top the sour cream mixture. Then repeat until you reach the top. Once you topped the last layer with pasta just add the rest of the cheese and sour cream mixture. Cook it in the oven for 25 minutes and then you are set to eat!
