Real Techniques Stippling Brush – Glam Radar

And now, yet another review of the Real Techniques Stippling Brush (£11.99)! I know, I know, the interwebz beauty blogosphere is crawling with reviews of this brush, and I actually wasn’t going to review it, but I have to, because it is awesome-sauce.Here is my review of Real Techniques Stippling Brush   !

If you don’t have a foundation brush yet, and are still using some skanky bit of sponge, or your mucky little grubby fingers, to apply your foundation, then you need to get with the times. Gosh, even I use a foundation brush these days, and I am barely even capable of acceptable cutlery use at mealtimes! The Real Techniques Stippling Brush is an absolute pleasure to use. The bristles are soft, but not too soft, and it’s easy to manoeuvre, meaning you can quickly get a nice buffing motion for that ‘airbrushed’ effect that everyone seems to bum at the moment. It is gentle enough to use around the eye area, which is great news for oily-eyelidded people like myself. For Oily Nancies in general, applying with a brush means less oil on your face to begin with, and the nicely buffed surface keeps shininess at bay for longer. real-techniques-stippling-brush1 real-techniques-stippling-brush2-1 A lot of people have been a bit “meh…” about the fact that the brush can stand up on its own, but I am 100% on board with this feature, and wish my other makeup brushes had sturdy, stand-up handles.

The results speak for themselves: this is a photo of my lovely cheek, after applying Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation with the Real Techniques Stippling Brush. Flawless, almost poreless, even skin. Can’t ask for more, really…

Yes, you have seen this pic before, in my Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow review. What are you, the blog-picture-reuse-police?! In short, this brush is a must-have for anyone applying a liquid foundation. I can’t speak for its use with powder products, but I have used it with a runny foundation (Hello Flawless), a mid-weight foundation (Rimmel 25 Hour) and a thick foundation (Origins Perfection Reflection), with ace results each time. Real Techniques brushes are available in Boots, and right now they’re included in the 3 for 2 offer across most beauty bits and pieces! Hurrah!
