E.L.F Brushes and Natural Nymph – Glam Radar

by Maria · September 8, 2014

Hello there!

After seeing a video by Stacey on the ‘HQ of Beauty’ on how she does her eye makeup, I really thought that I should invest in some Eyeshadow Brushes. I ordered some off the E.L.F website and got a Blending Eye Brush and an Eye Crease brush. They were both £1.50 each like many of the products on the E.L.F website. They have an elegant white handle and the bristles are soft not hard and prickly. The brushes are both small allowing precise application of eyeshadow. I did some eyeshadow with them and thought I would show you the results…

1. I used Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow primer first to prevent alot of fallout out from the eyeshadow and also to make sure it lasted all night as I was going out for tea!

2. I then used ‘YDK’ from Urban Decay’s Sustainable Shadow Box. I used a normal eyeshadow brush to apply this and took it slightly above the crease of my eyelid.

3. Using the E.L.F eye crease brush I used ‘Smog’ from Urban Decay’s NAKED palette and applied the eyeshadow in the crease of my eye and then took it down to the outer part of my eyelashes. e-l-f-brushes-and-natural-nymph-c-500x100-1 e-l-f-brushes-and-natural-nymph-d-500x375-1 e-l-f-brushes-and-natural-nymph-e-500x375-1 e-l-f-brushes-and-natural-nymph-f-500x209-1

4. I used the Blending Eye brush to blend the two colours together using it in a circular buffing motion.

5. I then applied my Avon Supershock mascara to my top lashes and my MaxFactor Lash Extension mascara to my bottom lashes.

I will do a video soon showing you how to use the brushes I bought. Overall the brushes were perfect… they didn’t loose their bristels which often cheap brushes do. They did not irritate my eyelids and I achieved a gorgeous look.

Also I purchased a lipstick from E.L.F in ‘Natural Nymph’. This is a nude colour which you probably already guessed from it’s name! The lipstick itself isn’t very moisturising and the colour can seem to collect in the creases of your lips or collect in one spot if you do not apply some sort of balm before hand… I applied Blistex’s Relief cream first before I used it. This lipstick is great if you have heavy eyeshadow on to simply tone down the look… Also this would be a good lipstick just to wear with normal natural makeup everyday.
