Here is my review of Revlon Lip Butter  !

Revlon Lip Butter “Creamsicle” Ah, the oh-so-famous Revlon Lip Butter. I refused to get any of these when they first released and continued to refuse to get them because I hate it when everyone and their grandmother raves about a product and claims it as the best thing ever. (There’s a certain beauty YouTuber that likes to claim the next new thing she buys as the best makeup product ever… hint: she has a lot of shoes and bags in her California home.) The only reason I purchased this (and another one for another review later) is because a few of the lip butters are on clearance for 75% off at CVS, so I paid only two dollars and then some (yay, tax) for this. If I can pay for it in quarters, then I’ll finally try it out.

To me, Creamsicle looks like a very nude-y peach. Somebody on makeupalley said that it’s a frosty peach, but… I just cannot see the frost. I don’t see it in the tube and I don’t remember seeing it on my lips. These lip butters are marketed to be an extremely moisturizing lip product. They’re supposed to make your lips so much more moisturized. Well, I don’t think so. Kelsey was right in her review. These feel like any other lipstick than a lip balm. With that being said, I don’t think these are drying but they don’t moisturize like my lip balms do. They’re just comfortable on the lips. That’s it. revlon-lip-butter2 Let’s play “Where’s the swatch?” game. revlon-lip-butter3 The colour is actually so light that you can hardly see the swatch on my arm. If you can’t see the colour, just look at the little part of my arm that looks scaly and gross, that would be the lip butter. It’s a nice shade to use when you’ve got a really dark smokey eye like I have on in the photo above. The unfortunate thing about this light shade is that it wears off quickly, settles into lip lines (like whoa), and ends up sort of separating and just turning into this gooey mess that doesn’t look good after thirty minutes to an hour or so. So overall, while the colour itself is nice and everything, the formula separating and turning into a mess on the lips makes me not very impressed with this shade. I do have another shade, Red Velvet, that I actually quite like and will do a review (and more positive one) on this blog later on.
