Mughal Inspired – Glam Radar

I adore Mughal-style clothing – I find the shapes so flattering and feminine. Edited to add: this type of salwar kameez is called an anarkali. A few of you commented that you don’t know what I mean by Mughal, and as I’m no historian I’ll refer you to Wikipedia!

It’s also nice to wear a salwar kameez that actually fits me properly! Most of my salwar kameezes were either tailored* when I was still in my teens, so they’re far too tight, or are hand-me-downs from my mother, making them a bit too loose.

* While it’s possible to buy ready-made salwar kameezes, it is more common to buy the material (which comes as a set) and have it tailor-made.

I forgot to thank those of you who left me kind, encouraging comments in relation to my beige mood. Many of you recommended baking, exercising, watching tv shows, focusing my mind on a project, having a heart-to-heart with a friend, and trying to bring some sort of order/routine into my life, and I’ve been following all of those suggestions. I’m sure things will start looking brighter soon – and in the mean time, I am so grateful that I have all of you lovely, supportive friends to help me through it!
