Maybelline Super Stay 14 Hour Lipstick in Beige For Good review and swatch :
Maybelline’s famous Super Stay line, consisting of foundations, concealers, glosses and more, has just released 14 hour Lipsticks!
With a HUGE variety of shades, you are bound to find something to suit your style, and a few to have in your collection on those “just in case” days where you might want to go out rocking some bright fuchsia lip!
Available at drugstores and ULTA, the lipsticks are easy to come by and affordable at only $7-8.
I picked up one shade to start, just in case I wasn’t a fan of the formula, and I have to say, I may find myself purchasing some more!
The shade that I decided to start off with is the most basic nude, and that is called Beige For Good. I saw this color and I thought, well you can’t go wrong with a nude!
Beige For Good is a lot like Revlon’s Soft Nude, but with a deeper undertone. It gives you a little vibrancy in your lips which is hard when using nudes. Some can look too brown, or too… deathly! This flatters my skin tone well, I am around an NC 20-25, or MUFE 118.
As you can see, it’s a great wearable shade, without being too brown or pale. The one thing that I did notice is if you have more pigmented lips like I do, then you will have to use a concealer over your lips, or a nude lip liner to cancel out any of your lips natural color. It looks nice in the photograph, but in real life it sort of has a pinkish/mauve cast to it from my lips, and I’m not a huge fan of the look of that.
As for the wear and the formulation, I am quite impressed. They seem very hydrating, unlike some of the lipsticks I own, and they wear very beautifully from what I can tell so far!
They do have a strange chemical smell when you first open them, but I noticed when it’s been on my lips for a few seconds it gets a sort of sweet/candy smell. It might be just the plastic of the packaging!
Overall, I do really love Maybelline Super Stay 14 Hour Lipstick in Beige For Good , and will definitely be trying a few more shades in the near future!
