MAC Spring Colour Forecast: Blush Ombres Reviews, Photos, Swatches

Hi girls! Here is my review of Blush Ombre- MAC Spring Colour Forecast Collection with Photos and Swatches :
If you hadn’t guessed from the name of my blog, I love blush. Not just love, adore even! So it comes as no surprise to me that I love the latest cheek goodies from MAC- the Blush Ombre.

There are four of these Blush Ombres being released in the February Spring Forecast collection, one for each colour story within the collection. Essentially- Pink, Coral, Purple, Neutral.

The packaging is the same as a Mineralize Skinfinish and the Beauty Powders from the Rose Romance collection. Clockwise from top left:

Vintage Grape
Ripe Peach
Azalea Blossom

The picture above best shows the colours accurately. Each Blush Ombre consists of 2 colours each merging into each other, some halfway, some three quarters of the way. They look pretty!

The picture below shows the shimmer of the blushes quite nicely I think! I almost thought the shimmer could be an overspray when I first saw them but fear not! The shimmer definitely isn’t an overspray and is spread evenly throughout each blush. The shimmer isn’t overly noticeable on the cheeks, it’s more of a glow giving product. This is a good thing of course!

Not surprisingly Ripe Peach is my favourite, I’m always drawn to corals and peaches. But, I am surprised by how much I like Azalea Blossom, I’m not a huge fan of pinks but this one is really pretty.

Application wise they apply nicely and wear well throughout the day. The texture is a little hard, so I apply with the MAC 168 brush rather than the 187. Despite the harder texture, they can be worn sheerly or built up for greater intensity.

I love cheek duos, and the Blush Ombres are no exception. Now for the makeup OCDers out there, don’t be alarmed when you see the testers looking very messy, muddy and smudgy from being prodded with fingers- when used with a brush the colours stay put in the pan and look as pretty as the day you got them!

Swatches in different lighting- I’ve just smooshed my finger all over the surface because that’s how I wear them but if you’d like swatches of the different colours within each blush let me know!

So whaddya think? Are you looking forward to these? xo
