Are You in Makeup Mood? Then here is my review of Mac MAC Electric Cool Eyeshadow in superwatt
As a pro make-up shopper (if there were such a thing, I’d certainly be one), I now rarely buy anything without researching it first. I google reviews, check out swatches and most certainly hit up Temptalia prior to purchasing.
Usually… however, yesterday an unplanned shopping trip led to some unplanned acquisitions. This rarely happens to me anymore, like I said I’m a pro, but I was in one of those highly dangerous ‘I just want to buy make-up now’ kind of moods. Tell me I’m not alone, do you get them too?
They don’t happen often but when they do, boy do I just want to buy beauty!
Anyway, my impulsive urges sent me straight to Mac first, it’s one of the only brands I don’t already own everything from that would suit me, and because of it’s multitude of collection releases I know there’ll always be something new to drool over.
Below is my case in point.
Mmac Superwatt eyeshadow
Intrigued by the slightly cheap looking but different packaging, I swiped one of the twelve Electric Cool eyeshadows on my hand; it was love at first touch.
Much like my beloved Chanel Illusion D’Ombre pots, these shadows have the same strange bouncy texture, offering a cream formula that transforms to powder when applied.
– Super easy to wear, no fuss one swipe application using fingers.
– Buildable and blendable.
– Long lasting, these don’t budge once dry.
The shade, oh the shade. It’s perfection; Superwatt is basically Satin Taupe eyeshadow , but in cream form.
Wore it all over the lid today, alone. LOVE.
Mac Impassioned and Pleasureseeker lipsticks .
Impassioned is one of those lipsticks that I’ve always wanted to buy but have never dared to, it’s super bright in the tube and you know how I usually am about colour. Scared, but something came over me and feeling brave I popped it into my basket.
I applied the deep fuchsia as soon as I got home and OMG, how have I lived without this lipstick for so long. Yes, it is very vivid but there’s also something very wearable about it. Powerful but pretty.
I won’t dwell on the other lippie I picked up, because quite frankly it sucks. On me, Pleasureseeker is a sheer wash of nothingness. It barely shows up. There’s always one bad impulse buy, isn’t there?
If you’ve been eyeing up the Chanel Illusion D’Ombre shadows then I highly recommend you check out the Electric Cool range before they go and of course grab Impassioned if you haven’t already!
