My mum’s been on the hunt to find a mascara that suits her needs, and lucky old me I get her cast offs! I recommended Bourjois to her as my housemate uses one of their mascaras and her lashes always look lovely, so I feel a bit bad that this didn’t work out for her.
The only product I’ve bought from Bourjois is a lipgloss. No particular reason why, but I think their stuff is a bit pricey and there are great dupes for cheaper (e.g their trio of eyeshadows, MUA have similar products for a third of the price!).Bourjois Paris Volume Glamour Max Definition mascara photo
I had high hopes for this Bourjois Paris Volume Glamour Max Definition mascara, but sadly I don’t actually like using it. It builds excellent volume, and the tip is lined with bristles which make it great for grabbing those corner lashes. However the brush is a tad on the large side and can cause your lashes to become very clumpy if you’re not careful. My main fault with this mascara though is that it’s near enough impossible to remove! Even after going in the shower, it had hardly budged, which is quite hard to believe considering this wasn’t even a waterproof mascara!
It leaves my lashes looking great, but the hassle of removing it makes it not ever really worth wearing. I’ve tried two eye make-up removers with it but alas, no joy, and at around £10 it’s not exactly cheap! If you like a mascara with a big brush that doesn’t ever budge, this is perfect for you! But if you’re lazy like me, I’d maybe stick to one that’s easier to remove.
What mascara do you swear by?
