Here is my review of Asos beauty buys  !

have turned to Asos for my beauty fix over the last few weeks. In New Zealand, beauty products can be incredibly expensive. I also wouldn’t be able to find half of the products that Asos stocks in the shops here. I have written some quick reviews of what I think of the products so far. Leave me a comment if you would like any further reviews.

Cath Kidson mini starter set: This was an impulse buy that accidentally happened when I spotted a pretty set of mini hand creams and shower gels on sale. I haven’t actually used these yet as I have far too many handbag hand creams already but they are as pretty as the pictures and smell divine.

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder: The beauty reviews of this product convinced me to purchase one. I purchased it in Peach Glow and I absolutely love it. I previously used the Revlon Colourstay powder and I swear this is exactly the same, at a quarter of the price. I ended up buying about 7 of these in Peach Glow and Transparent (don’t ask me why, I just convinced myself that they would sell out). They even smell lovely.

Rimmel Sun Shimmer instant tan: I purchased this in medium matte after reading a few good reviews. I had previously been using the Sally Hansen and Tights in a Tin spray on instant tans and this really didn’t measure up. It was sticky, splotchy and took forever to blend in. I might give this another go when I’m not in such a rush to get the door.

Nip + Fab Dry Leg Fix: I had a few very dry patches on my legs so I purchased this to get rid of them. Boy does this stuff work. It doesn’t smell particularly pleasant, and has quite a thick formula so it would definitely be a night moisturizer. It really does work and I definitely recommend it.

Nip + Fab Oily Skin Fix set: On sale for $18 this seemed like the perfect set for my skin. I have only used it a few times but I’m very impressed. The cleanser is lovely and the pump is perfect. The pack also contains the first spot fix that has ever made a noticeable difference on my blemishes. I put it on before bed and the next morning the pimple that hadn’t budged for a week was noticeably smaller. I haven’t tried the shine fix yet as I’m not sure about using it underneath my make up.

Another reason I decided to write this post is because of the amazing customer service I received from Asos last week. All of the products have arrived safely packaged and ahead of time. The Nip + Fab Oily Skin Fix set was no exception, however because of the pump nozzle there was a small amount of product inside the box. I wasn’t particularly bothered as it took all of a minute to clean it up. I figured that this must be a common problem so I sent Asos a quick email letting them know, and suggesting that they may like to fix the problem for future purchases. Asos replied within a few hours, telling me that a new set was on its way to me, and that I could keep the original set. I really wasn’t expecting a replacement for such a minor issue but it is lovely that they value their customer experience to such an extent. If you don’t already order beauty products from Asos, you really should take a look. xx
