What’s in my beach bag? | Glam Radar

by Maria · June 10, 2014

It’s no secret now that I was at the beach this past week. I’m not really good at tanning, but I came away with some nice color and only a few burnt places (on the backs of my hands weirdly enough) Ideal for a pale girl really. I love seeing ‘what’s in my bag’ posts and seeing what people tote with them wherever they go, so I thought it would be a nice twist for you to see what I took to the beach with me instead. So here’s what was in my beach bag this week with pictures appropriately shot at the beach (side note: people will think you are crazy for this. the looks I got for taking pictures of all my things… priceless) A beach bag is needed, obviously. Mine is from Vera Bradley years ago and is a lot larger than it looks. I’m not usually big on Vera, but this is a plastic-y type bag that is perfect to just sit in the sand and doesn’t mind getting wet. A towel is another must and yes, those are mermaids icon_smile-4-2  Here is everything that I had in my bag with me (clockwise) Jack Rogers sandals in Platinum My Nook

L’Oreal Sublime Sun suncreen oil iPhone in J Crew Anchor case w/headphones MAC lipstick in Girl About Town Vera Bradley travel makeup bag Surfer Hello Kitty towel clips  I would’ve included my EOS lip balm, but I lost it during the course of the vacation. Unbeknownst, it was in my mom’s purse. C’est la vie This is the contents of the little travel bag. In my previous post of the Sephora Sun Safety kit, these were the ones I liked most. Particularly the one smack in the middle. Read more about them in this post here. I also brought two lippies. MAC Girl About Town and Maybelline Color Whisper in Petal Rebel. Perfect for a bright summer lip when sunning on the beach! I was reading Elle magazine on the first day and saw an ad for these, so I picked them up that night as I didn’t like the sunscreen had used that day. I love these so much. Look for a review later this week!

The Hello Kitty towel clip was the cutest way I’ve ever kept my towel from blowing off the beach chair!

An ice cream boat popped by. Literally a boat that floats along the shore with ice cream. Too cute. Thought I needed to include my rather girly cold treat

If I could only pick a few things to take, these are my five ultimate necessities for hitting the beach– sunnies, sandals, sunscreen, some music, and a nice lippie!

Insert you and your perfectly prepped beach bag here and you’re good to go icon_smile-4-2
