MUA “Undressed” Palette: A Perfect Urban Decay “Naked” Dupe? – Glam Radar
by Maria · March 9, 2015
So question, am I the last person around to find out about this palette?? It seems like I’m seeing this palette popping up all over different blogs lately. Anyways… before I get too excited and start right into my favorite find of the year so far, I have to give credit where credit is due. I learned about this palette from an excellent review that Laura from Laurasallmadeupbeauty did about a month ago. Having wanted a Naked palette for forever but not wanting to spend $50, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read her review and ordered it right away! So this find is all thanks to the other blogging “Laura” 🙂 I chose to still do my own review since we have followers she doesn’t and vice versa…. OH MY WORD! I can’t say enough how much I love this palette! With the exception of a fewminor differences, it’s a perfect dupe in my opinion! AND, the colors are lined up in the exact order as Naked, so this is a plus plus in my book! – PRICE!! The MUA palette is €4. MUA is a Europe based company so you have to order it online. With the palette being €4, worldwide shipping was €7, my complete total out the door was 18 US dollars! I received my order 11 days later with no problems! – The MUA palette doesn’t come with names for the shades, instead it has them numbered on the back of the palette. It’s not a huge deal to me, however I can see it being a little frustrating doing a tutorial and trying to explain what color you are using. – Also, Naked comes with a true shadow brush while MUA comes with a two sided shadow sponge applicator. If you already have an eyeshadow brush (I’m assuming you all do), then this is no problem. – There are some very slight differences in coloring with a few of the shades. For instance, MUA #2 is much more pigmented than Naked’s Sin. While Naked’s Hustle is more pigmented than MUA’s #10. All in all, it’s just about as close as you can get without being the Naked palette! #3/Naked were swatched on the arm but didn’t show up on my skin tone. I’ve listed the MUA #s according to the bottom of the palette and also their Naked dupe name. A soft smokey eye Steph created on me using #1,#2 and #12!
