La Roche-Posay Effaclar DUO Acne Treatment
La Roche-Posay Effaclar DUO Acne Treatment  review  : As I posted  before i’ve always struggled with bad skin/mild acne. I have had every lotion and potion, prescribed and non prescribed. Nothing seemed to make much difference until now…
Introducing La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo, my savior.
La Roche-Posay Effaclar DUO
What they claim?
Eliminates severe skin imperfections on the skin surface (spots) and underneath the skin (clogges pores, white heads and black heads)
The pores can be purified. Even the most severe imperfections disappear. The skin is smoother and cleaner. Lasting balance-replenishment to restore all the qualities of healthy skin.
EFFACLAR DUO is a complete skincare product that combines 4 active ingredients to act on the two main symptoms of skin with imperfections: Severe localised imperfections: Niacinamide and Piroctone Olamine to fight against bacterial proliferation and eliminate imperfections. Pores clogged with sebum: the combination of LHA and Linoleic Acid unclogs pores while eliminating the accumulated dead cells responsible for blockage. These active ingredients are combined with soothing, anti-irritant La Roche-Posay thermal spring water to reduce redness.

What I think:
I LOVE THIS!!!! It’s made for someone with combination/sensitive skin, exactly what i have. I almost always find acne treatments are so harsh on skin they create extra nightmares. I apply it after i’ve cleansed at night and sometimes before makeup in the morning if I need it, surprisingly it’s quite a good makeup base. It’s literally changed my skin. My cystic spots are almost gone and not reappearing, I barely ever get a white head anymore and my blackheads are disappearing but at a slower rate. My pores have also dramatically decreased in size. Best of all it seems to be fading my scarring. (Sorry if anyone gets grossed out).
Like every other spot eliminating cream (even prescribed creams) I was expecting my skin to become dry and flakey in patches, but that didn’t happen, infact my skin is more balanced and slightly moisturised which is more than odd.
It’s a very light cream, almost a slight gel consistency. It takes quite awhile to sink into the skin but that doesn’t bother me too much. I did have a slight stinging sensation and redness when I first started using it at night but I didn’t notice any bad effects and it stopped after afew uses. I think it was due to the active ingredient it contains and my skin taking awhile to become accustomed to it.

It was €15 for 40ml which has lasted me ages but i’ve seen it cheaper online.

Would I repurchase La Roche-Posay Effaclar DUO Acne Treatment ?
Absolutely and will continue to until I stop seeing its amazing results.Overall:
I’m so impressed with this product i’m going to check out the rest of the products in the Effaclar range. I would recommend Effaclar Duo to anyone who has sensitive/problem skin and wants something that will not dry it out and create more problems. I’ve had such a huge improvement in my skin and i’m hoping with continued use it can get even better.
