Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils Noir Radical
This is my Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils Noir Radical, yes I know what a mouth full. I thought I would do a little review for you all.
Packaging: Its an absolutely gorgeous metal tube and is so sleek you are instantly drawn to it. Unlike the regular Faux Cils it has two different gold colours to show it is the Noir Radical version, which is the blackest colour they do. Its also surprisingly heavy.
Formulation/Effect: First off I love this mascara, it ticks all the boxes. Its extremely volumizing, lengthening, true blackest black and holds curl well. Basically gives you a true false lash effect, but heres the problem it dries up like the Sahara desert. In a little over a months use, with a huge amount of product of left, it turns into a sticky gloopy mess that even sticks the bristles down. Its awful i’ve never had another mascara do this to me before and so disappointing since its holy grail material the first month or so. It also smudges slightly on the outer corners of my eyes by the end of the day.
Price: €32/£22 I had to look that up because I couldn’t remember how much I paid. I must have been completely insane that day or something, fair enough paying €20 on a Lancome but€32 (cringe face) I keep thinking what I could have bought with that money. And whats even worse i’ve bought two of them thats €64 (hides under duvet in shame).
Would I repurchase? Probably yes . I did once thinking it was me not closing the tube tight enough sometimes and that was the reason for the 1st tube drying up. Telling myself it was worth it and that the 2nd tube would be fine, but it did the same thing all over again. If the mascara was around €15 and dried up after nearly two months I wouldn’t have a problem but the fact it cost so much I expected it to last to the 3 month throw out time.
Overall: I still love Yves Saint Laurent Mascara Volume Effect Faux Cils Noir Radical its amazing mascara for awhile but then turns unusable. If I had a fortune in the bank and could throw out and repurchase at will I would, but I don’t, especially for a mascara. I’m now on a mission to find something better.
Anyone else had this problem ?
