MAC Up the Amp Lipstick Review, swatches – Glam Radar

Hey there guys, long time no speak or what!? I know I’ve been well and truly MIA lately and I’m sorry, today i will review MAC Up the Amp Lipstick ! 

I went through a short period of madness, I was feeling really really down and had stuff going on and just didn’t want to feel under anymore added pressure so I disappeared for a wee bit, and then I went to Florida!!! Which was incredible by the way, but it also put things into perspective and made me realise that I needed to stop acting like a princess. (Say what?) I love this blogging community (cheese) but I really do and I can’t wait to get back on into it! If you’ll still have me. Enough of the excuses, look at this little beauty I picked up at duty free. Considering I’m pretty terrified of colourful and bright lips, it’s honestly surprising that purple is my favourite lip shade to wear, I’m obsessed with it. You might know that Mac’s lipglass in Narcissus is my all time fave but unfortunately it was limited edition – still on the look out for a dupe for that baby though. Some people (most, probably) think that purple is a hard shade to wear but I disagree, either that or I just convince myself that I look good in it. I think that as long as you keep the rest of your make up minimal, maybe with a gorgeous cat flick or something, then purple looks stunning. Keep the focus on your lips and you can’t go wrong in my opinion. Up The Amp is a gorgeous medium toned violet shade with blue undertones. It has hints of Lavender which lightens the shade up and adds a sort of milkiness to the colour. It’s the Amplified formula and I don;t actually own any other Amplified lipsticks but I do like this formula so far, it glides on creamy and doesn’t leave my lips feeling dry or lacking moisture, always a positive. MAC Up the Amp Lipstick swatches : The colour of the bullet in this photo’s a lot more accurate than the first. Up The Amp is definitely not an everyday shade but it’s quickly become one of my go to shades for a night or meal out, like I said, when paired with winged eyeliner and minimal make up it looks absolutely beautiful.
