Winged Eyeliner Tutorial

Winged eyeliner, or eyeliner at all, is a really hard art to master. Some people are amazing at it practically from birth and others seem to never find the right handflick. When I first tried it went horribly wrong for two weeks or so, but for each day I practiced I got one step closer to refining the skill. If I haven’t done it in a while it takes me a couple of tries to get it right again. Then if I’m high on caffeine I can pretty much forget about it.

There are no simple steps to success, you just have to practice it over and over again…

1 Winged eyeliner

I usually start from the outside and in until I’ve reached halfway and then I draw a line from the inside to the middle, keeping the skin taunt at all times. It is then important not to open your eyes until the liner has dried or you’ll end up with eyeliner everywhere it shouldn’t be.
