wetnwild-mega-shield-lip-color-spf-15-in-pink-champagne-its-a-girl-500x281-1 Wet’n’Wild Megashield lipsticks retail for $3 at local drugstores for .1oz and were recently released in 2012 (MAC l/s are $14.50 for .1oz, Revlon Lip Butters are $8 for .09oz). If you can overlook the packaging, you’ll find an amazing pigmented, creamy lipstick…a total steal for $3!

The colors I have: Pink Champagne, It’s a Girl PIGMENTATION: 5/5
TEXTURE: 5/5
LONGEVITY: 4/5
OVERALL: 4/5 THE GOOD:

  • Pigmented
  • Creamy
  • Moisturizing
  • Lasts pretty long

THE BAD:

  • Packaging
  • Way too many frosty shades

Bottom Line: I personally like the formulation of these better than the Revlon Lip Butters because they’re more pigmented, creamy, and moisturizing. They also last longer but they have too many frosty shades and tacky packaging for it to be my favorite drugstore lipstick.

Pigmentation – ( 5 / 5 ) They’re wonderfully pigmented (less than the WnW Mega Last l/s but as much as the MAC Amplified Cremes) and don’t feel heavy or drying on the lips.

Shades – ( 2 / 5 ) They have a small-medium selection of 13 shades from a natural lip to berry red, some cream and some frost. They have way too many frosts and should come out with more creme.

Texture – ( 5 / 5 ) These are very creamy and moisturizing without having much slip to them the way the NYX Round l/s do. The frosts are little gritty than the cremes so definitely try out the cremes. They definitely all don’t settle into the lip lines though.

Longevity – ( 4 / 5 ) These last shorter than a matte lipstick but for a creamy lipstick, they last quite a long time of 2-3 hours for the light shades and 3-4 hours for the darker shades.

Packaging – ( 1 / 5 ) Insanely tacky packaging with tons of product labels and stickers on the outside. Sure people won’t tamper with the product inside but judging from the packaging, why would they want to?

Overall – ( 4 / 5 ) The product itself is amazing – pigmented, creamy, moisturizing, long lasting. It’s a mix between MAC Amplified Cremes and MAC Cremesheens. However, most of them are frosty and the packaging is absolutely tacky.

Repurchase? Yes, most definitely! Going to go pick up some nice creme shades. I really want to try Within These Adobe Walls which is a nice peachy pink and completely CREME! 🙂

Pink Champagne (frosty light peachy pink)– Not my favorite because of its frost but it looks gorgeous when applied just in the center of the lips with a light pink lipstick as a base. 2. It’s a Girl (cream warm hot pink)– Gorgeous bright pink for the summer! If you can’t get your hands on the MAC Nicki Minaj l/s this is pretty similar (and more wearable).                                                           wetnwild-mega-shield-lip-color-spf-15-in-pink-champagne-lipstick wetnwild-mega-shield-lip-color-spf-15-in-pink-champagne-lipstick-swatch                                                                                                              wetnwild-mega-shield-lip-color-spf-15-in-its-a-girl-lipstick wetnwild-mega-shield-lip-color-spf-15-in-its-a-girl-swatch
