I first heard about this product through Molly Tamale :). After I read her thoughts on it, I wanted to try it out so bad!! And here is my honest Victoria’s Secret Airbrush FX Face Primer SPF 20 review :
I had been searching for a really good face primer comparable to Smashbox’s Face Primer but I didn’t want to shell out $36 for one. I had been using Sally Hansen’s Luminizing Face Primer but I didn’t like all the reflects it has in it. So I stopped using primer all together for a long time.
I don’t know how long Victoria’s Secret has had this face primer out but I am glad that they do!
The consistency of it is much like MAC’s matte gel, think of a gel but not nearly as oily and super creamy smooth. It doesn’t have ridiculous amounts of glitter in it. They are so minuscule, it is very hard to see them. (I honestly didn’t know it had glitter until I ULTRA zoomed with my camera.)This primer has .75 oz of product in it, compared to Smashbox, Smashbox’s primer has 1 oz, so this one has just a about a quater less but this primer is a lot more wallet friendly. Victoria’s Secret Primer retails at $14. So for $14 bucks each, you can get almost three of these for the $36 bucks your gonna shell out for a Smashbox one.
Okay, ANYHOW, getting too technical here lol. On with the review, I applied this primer, let is set for bit then applied my foundation. Very first thing I noticed immediately, my makeup went on a heck of a lot smoother! My foundation was just gliding on, which made my routine go much faster. I wore it throughout the whole night, about seven hours and I touched up once. Yeah, ONCE. This is my new found love! I can’t believe this hasn’t been in my life! Okay, so to sum it all up;
- Wallet friendly, retails at $14 at Victoria’s Secret
- Has a pump!
- GREAT staying power, one touch-up throughout the whole night
And seriously, I don’t have any cons for this one! That’s how amazing this primer is! If you haven’t tried this yet, you definitely should 🙂
