Umberto Giannini Grunge Glamour Tousled Salt Spray Review – Glam Radar

by Maria · May 29, 2014

Here is my review of Umberto Giannini Grunge Glamour Tousled Salt Spray  ! Magazines this Summer have been packed with gorgeous, slim models baring all in cute bikinis and flaunting beachy, windswept hair which has definitely been giving me the “Waaaaaaa I wanna look like herrrr” effect. Whilst my beach body is still a *cough* long *cough* working progress,  I did have the power to try and get those beachy waves a’la Kate Hudson and Jennifer Aniston. My product of choice? TheUmberto Giannini Tousled Salt Spray. I admit that I was torn between that and the Lee Stafford Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray but it was more expensive for a start and I’ve bought the Glam Hair Morning After Dry Shampoo before (review on the way!) which worked really well for me as it didn’t leave any white powder in my hair! This is what Umberto Giannini says about it’s Salt Spray:
“From cool festival hair to rock chick grunge glamour, this gives the perfect lived-in texture and come-to bed-look.” The instructions for the spray say to spray evenly throughout damp hair and either dry naturally or with a diffuser. I personally always let my hair dry naturally as I am reluctant to put any heat on my hair so I can let it heal after years of excessive dying. I had been worried that this meant it wouldn’t work as well but it worked really well! I did all that it said on the tin (well, can) and the result was a head of lovely textured tresses with those beachy waves I had been searching for. It did make my hair lose a tiny bit of it’s softness but it definitely made up for it with the final look which lasted all day and didn’t make my hair greasy in the slightest. I would 100% recommend this product for anyone who wants to recreate this style for the summer, priced at £5.61 it’s over £2 cheaper than the Lee Stafford spray and actually has 50ml more product in the bottle so you definitely get value for money. From comparing reviews it also has A LOT better feedback than the lee Stafford. Have any of you used Umberto Giannini’s Salt Spray? What do you think of it? I’d love to hear from you!
