What a good day ladies! hope you all well! here is my TOPSHOP CHEEKS IN PRISM & LUMINESCENCE review!
Topshop make-up has quickly become one of my favourite inexpensive brands, and I was particularly excited to see more additions to the Core collection. Cheeks is a multi-purpose cream stick in a twist up tube packaging. It can be used everywhere on the face and body except on the eyes. Each tube, including the lid, measure at around 10cm tall, which, in my opinion, makes it feel bulky and cumbersome. Considering the actual product itself only measures at around 3.5cm tall it seems unnecessarily long, but perhaps the twist up mechanism needs quite a bit of room to function properly? Anyhow there are three different colours available at the moment; Prism, Luminescence, and Ray. I bought all three, but I will only be talking about Prism and Luminescence today.
Prism is a champagne yellow with a subtle golden sheen and micro-shimmer. The colour itself is not all that different from most champagne coloured highlighters, but there is no risk of the dreaded disco ball effect from migrating shimmer particles because it is so fine. The texture is smooth, easy to blend, and it doesn’t feel greasy on the skin. I can apply the stick straight onto the areas where I want to highlight and it lasts well throughout the day.
Luminescence is a peachy pink with a very subtle sort of glowy metallic sheen that reminds me of the sheen of MAC Petticoat MSF. It can be used as a highlighter or blush, but if using it for the latter, be careful to only blend the edges as the pigment blends a little too easily off the skin. Again, it feels smooth and creamy, and lasts well on my skin. Be sure to check out another review of Luminescence by Makeup and Beauty Blog (here).
