Tom Ford Private Collection Lipstick in Warm Sable | Glam Radar

After recently reviewing the Tom Ford Private Collection lipsticks I decided to take a closer look at the individual shades. First up is Warm Sable, the only shade of the 6 I tried which I felt didn’t suit my skin tone.

Brown lipstick is a tough thing for me to wear, it feels all little to early 90′s for my tastes and the warmer shades of brown look very stark in comparison to my skin tone. Sadly, Warm Sables falls right into the ‘too warm’ category.tom-ford-private-collection-lipstick-in-warm-sable

You can see how golden the lipstick looks on me, it’s almost yellow-y in tone. There are very faint golden shimmers within the brown base.tom-ford-private-collection-lipstick-in-warm-sable-swatch

I ended up giving my Warm Sable lipstick to a friend who has lovely Indian skin, it looked amazing on her! In fact her skin made Warm Sable look a little more terracotta.tom-ford-private-collection-lipstick-in-warm-sable-lips tom-ford-private-collection-lipstick-in-warm-sable-review

I still think the Tom Ford lipsticks are amazing, as per my original review but Warm Sable is just not for me. I would definitely recommend it for darker olive, Asian or Indian skin tones.

In Australia the Tom Ford lippies retails for $65AUD at selected David Jones stores.
