GlamGlow TINGUING & EXFOLATING MUD MASK review:

I was given a little sample of GlamGlow to test out at the #LeedsBloggerMeetUp2012 by Xen-Tan. We were given a little talk about the product, and then sent away with our little goodies to give it a try. While at the event I had tested the product on the back of my hand and immediatly noticed the huge pieces of green tea, and the gorgeous scent.

Packaging;

I’m not a huge fan of the branding/packagaing. It was described to us as very “hollywood” and “glam” (hence the name, I guess) but to me it takes away from the product. Overall I’m not a huge fan of glitzy, bling looking things. I much prefer sleek minimal bottles that look pretty on my dressing table. It’s a personal preference because this is far from ugly! It’s cute, but not to my taste.glamglow So the smell- it’s gorgeous. Not over powering at all, very claming and soothing. If you like green tea you’ll love this. When you’ve got a product right next to your nose you want it to smell good, and this does.

The consistency is more viscous than you’d think for a “mud mask” which actually makes it go a long way. Considering the price for this, it’s more economical and you won’t feel wasteful using it more than once a week. It’s easy to spread and goes onto skin easily.
The directions say to leave the mask on for 15 minutes, and as it dries you notice it goes from a wet product, to a clay looking matte mask. It hardens, and this is how you know it’s done. I left mine on for around 20 minutes overall.
The one thing that is notable about the mask overall is the tingling feeling. Once you’ve applied it, your skin tingles like crazy. At first I really didn’t like it, it felt very very odd. Once you get used to it though, it’s very relaxing and soothing. The tingling means it’s working, so it’s a good sign.glamglow-tinguing-exfolating-mud-mask
I followed the directions, and when it came to take off the mask I used the chunks of green tea as an exfoliator and gently rubbed my skin in circles while removing the product. It was amazing. Amazing. If you’ve followed me for a while you’ll understand my problem with blocked pores. Having very oily skin, clogged pores is such a problem for me, and until now, I’ve never found anything that gets right in there and cleans them out. This did. I am in love. I want to dislike GlamGlow MUD MASk , because it has a whopping price tag (if you’re a poor student like me) but I don’t. The morning after, my skin still looked glowing and soft. It’s now 4 days later and my pores are just starting to get clogged again, but my skin still looks brightened and refreshed.

This is something I’ll be buying for myself, as soon as I can justify it. For £40 it’s an investment, but my skin will really thank me.
