Tigi Hair Products Review – Glam Radar

by Maria · June 29, 2014

Hi guys! Here is my Tigi Hair Products review!

So, over the last year or so I have accumulated numerous hair products from Tigi. Most of mine were presents, so I’m not entirely sure of the prices, but for the purposes of this review, I will use the prices from feelunique.com.

This is because this website does price including delivery, with a discount on the prices of the products. So, it is probably the cheapest price you will get without having to pay postage. These hair products are somewhere between drugstore and high end products, because they’re not cheap, but not too pricey either, and most of the time, the slightly more expensive price-tag is well worth it!

So, lets get going with the review! Here is the products I will be tackling today: tigi-hair-products1-1

Rockaholic Dirty Secret Dry Shampoo  ‘Keeps your hair rockin’ one more day’ rockaholic-dirty-secret-dry-shampoo1-1

Essentially, this dry shampoo doesn’t make my hair any cleaner than brands like Batiste or Lee Stafford. However, what you don’t get with this dry shampoo, is the flaky, white residue left behind after using it. This for blondes (but brunettes especially) is the biggest disadvantage of using dry shampoo. The colour is practically transluscent and it makes hair fresh and ready to go! Hooray! It also has a lemony scent and VERY stylish packaging. I adore dry shampoo because it means I don’t have to wash my hair everyday.

However, this can be bought on feelunique.com for a whopping £8.40, which for a regular user like me is a teeny bit pricey. However, for someone who won’t have to re-purchase constantly this is fantastic!

Bed Head After Party Smoothing Cream

‘Smoothing cream for silky, shiny, healthy looking hair!’ bed-head-after-party-smoothing-cream1-1

Well, what can I say? This product has been a staple in my hair routine for, I don’t know how long! I use it every time I wash my hair, while its still damp, I massage about 1/2 a pump into the ends of my hair. Then blow dry as normal. This leaves my hair silky, soft and helps keep split-ends at bay. Obviously it’s not a miracle worker, so I do eventually get split ends, but it means that I don’t have to cut my hair as much as I get fewer and they come later! Fantastic product, and I recommend it for all hair types!

On feelunique.com, this product costs £12.60 for 100ml, which in my opinion, is not bad. Although it is a more expensive finishing cream, it really does work, and you barely need any, so the bottle could probably last 6 -8 months if you don’t wash your hair everyday! Fab! Rockaholic Born to Rock Leave-In Detangler and Defrizzer ‘Don’t get tangled up in your rocker lifestyle. De-stress, detangle and defrizz your over partied locks and keep hair lookin’ freaking awesome. Rock on!’ rockaholic-born-to-rock-leave-in-detangler-and-defrizzer1-1

To be quite honest with you, I saw no difference in my hair when I used this, to when I didn’t. All I got was a chokingly sweet smell and sticky hands. It is such a shame because the packaging is lovely. My hair isn’t particularly frizzy, but it is often very tangled after getting out of the shower. Maybe this product would make more of a differnce for someone with curly, unruly hair. My hair might just be too flat to see any difference.

feelunique.com price: £7.25. Not worth the money if you ask me. Bad Tigi! Rockaholic Rock Out Shine Blaster ‘Shine like a rockstar!’ rockaholic-rock-out-shine-blaster1

After using this product, the only rockstar’s hair my hair resembled was Pete Docherty’s! Straggly and dry!! This product’s review is sadly like the last product’s one. I was very dissappointed with this!!!  No shine, and it is used the same way as the After Party, so I would recommend buying that instead!

Feelunique.com sell this product for £8.90 which is DEFINATELY too high for such a boring product!!!  Bed Head Dumb Blonde Smoothing Stuff bed-head-dumb-blonde-smoothing-stuff1

bed-head-dumb-blonde-smoothing-stuff21

This finishing cream from Tigi is to be used on dry, blonde hair to make it shiny and soft, and boy does it do that!! FleurDeForce on YouTube described the scent as smelling like Calpol, which it totally does!! It is an irridescent cream which leaves my hair looking slightly blonder, not really sure how it does that, but hey, I’m not complaining!! Definately a beautiful product for anyone with blonde hair!!

This product is old on feelunique.com for £8.90! which I believe is a bargain!! So, there were my Tigi hits and misses! I know that the Tigi range is huuuge and I have only made a small dent in it, but I hope to buy lots more products in the future because they have some real gems, which definately make up for the products that are slightly more dissapointing. Also, please bear in mind that everybody’s hair is different, and what works and doesn’t work for me, could work for you. So, if you want any more information about these products or whether I think it would work for your hair type, feel free to leave a comment below with any questions! Hope you are all having a beautiful day!
