The Lady Dior
Made famous for its association with Lady Diana, the Lady Dior is a modern classic and has established itself as an iconic bag. I can’t believe it made its debut in 1995, to me it feels like it has been around for way longer. I can just see myself at 80 with a walking stick and this beauty on my arm hehe.
I love the fact that it has the capability of smartening your look even when you’re wearing jeans and of course this bag would look stunning at formal events!
When I was researching the Lady Dior I found hardly anything on the web about it so I thought I’d share with you all a detailed review. I hope those of you who might be interested in buying it will find this post helpful.
The bag is available in a number of colours. I went for this lovely red shade, which is part of Dior’s core colour range, as it really shows off Dior’s trademark cannage stitching, and also adds a splash of colour to my otherwise muted handbag collection.
The Lady Dior comes in 4 sizes: small, medium, large and extra large, however, the red shade is only available in medium and large. I opted for the large size as the medium is way too small (I think it could only fit no more than a wallet, phone and lipstick which is perfect for evening but wouldn’t work for the day).
The hardware is available in gold and silver. I personally prefer Dior bags in silver hardware. I love the pendant letters that make up the Dior logo.
There is the option of holding it via a heavy top handle and a shoulder strap, somehow, however, I don’t think I will ever wear it on the shoulder as this bag deserves to be showcased on the arm.
It also has feet which give it that extra glam factor whilst also being functional by protecting the bag from dirt and scratches.
There we have it guys, my new prized beauty!
