Tan Towel Self Tanning Towelettes review

Tan Towel Self Tanning Towelettes review : I don’t know about you, but I’m not one to waste a ton of money, time and my health in the tanning beds.
However, sometimes, whether it’s for a party or just because, you might want a little glow to your skin!Recently I was asked to try out a few of Tan Towel’s products, and I must say, I can see myself repurchasing these in a heart beat.

Before we get started, let me just say that although I was sent these products, that does not alter my opinion in any way. What I love, I love, and what I hate, I will surely tell you about!

Let’s get started with the review!

For the purpose of testing, I only did the self tanner on my arms, just in case I didn’t like it! However, before I go on vacation I plan on doing my entire body, because it actually did come out pretty well!

Here are some before and after pictures…

1 before using tan towelletes
2 after using tan towelletes
Because of the light that I was in in the second photo, it does appear a little orange, but trust me, I asked every single person I work with if I looked orange and none of them thought so. So, that’s camera error!Oh and do you see the little discoloration on my hand? That’s the only downside about the towelettes. You need to make sure you cover every inch of your body, sometimes you miss a spot, and that’s what happens!

To use these, I had to first apply the Exfoliating and Buffing cloth all over my entire body prior to applying the self tanner. This will prepare my skin for the tanner to seep in and be effective.
Second, I removed one of the towelettes from the package and applied it all onto my arms carefully.
Immediately after, you need to wash your hands!
It dries in seconds, reaching its full result in 2-4 hours.
If you want a deeper tan, you can apply another towelette 4 hours after applying your first one.

I received a few tips from one of the Tan Towel Reps on the best ways to apply it, because since I am a self-tanning newbie, I did mess up (as you can see on my hand)… Here’s what she suggested…

1. Apply after a shower, dry off completely, and apply from bottom to top in circular motions. Go lightly over the small areas of your body like elbows and knees and the tops of your hands (That is where I made a mistake)

2. Wash your hands immediately after because it is a self tanner, and the tanning ingredient will leave color on the palms of your hands since that is where you had the towelette concentrated for the longest.

So I bet you want to know a little bit more ?

Tan Towel Towelettes are allergy and dermatologist tested. I have very sensitive skin, and I didn’t notice any redness, rash or discomfort after using the product.
They dry in seconds, so you don’t need to worry about laying there naked while your tanner dries ๐Ÿ™‚

They don’t smell! This was the best part for me, some tanners and lotions smell AWFUL!

Here’s what Tan Towel has to say about their products:

“No streaking and easy to apply… dries in seconds, will not discolor your clothing, no dyes or stains are used in formula”
“Tanning formula impregnated in pulp fiber towelette. Exfoliates skin during the application, allows for even and consistent tanning”

My thoughts… I agree with everything that Tan Towel claims! My only problem is that it’s difficult to remember exactly where you have covered and where you haven’t with the towel, so sometimes you can get some blotchy spots where you forgot to put the product. But that’s not necessarily a flaw of the company, that’s just me. ๐Ÿ™‚
