Tresemme Restructuring Deep Conditioning Treatment Masque | Glam Radar

Recently I have had some woes with my hair, due to colour build up, lovely chocolate coloured hair seemed to be getting darker and darker to the point that a good three quarters of the length appeared to be black in colour. Here is my review of Tresemme Restructuring Deep Conditioning Treatment Masque ! Which would be fine if I wanted black hair. So, I had stripped my hair and it is now a light golden brown (well it has a hint of ginger to it…) but due to the impact of the bleach and dyes it is now a bit… crunchy. Perhaps crunchy is an exaggeration, but it is definitely drier and more fragile – luckily there’s no breakage. What I needed was a super duper conditioning treatment, but as my budget is quite tight I couldn’t reach for the Kerastase, so I popped along to my local Superdrug and picked up a jar of this: Tresemme Restructuring Deep Conditioning Treatment Masque (bit of a mouthful eh?). According to the Tresemme website: ‘This treatment works wonders to restore and add moisture to over-processed and rougher hair textures.’ The instructions advise you to use it after shampooing (no need for a regular conditioner afterwards), you slather a reasonable amount onto the middle and ends, wait 1-2 mins (or for a ‘salon’ treatment leave on for 20 mins covered with a shower cap) and rinse off.

I left it on for an hour.

The product itself isn’t was I was expecting, when you open the jar you are greeted with a lot of product – and I do mean a lot, even at full price £4.99 for 500ml of treatment is a good deal. Its consistency is that of a regular conditioner, it’s not thick and gloopy and it was a nice clean scent. Frankly I wasn’t expecting much of a result. I was wrong, this treatment left my hair super soft, way more manageable, it defined my waves and eliminated frizz. Tresemme claim that this product is light enough to use everyday, and I believe them – I’ve now used this every time I’ve washed my hair, I’ve hardly made a dent in the tub and leaving it on for different times I’ve had varying results, none of which have made me feel like I have build up on my hair. Leaving it on for  2 minutes made me feel like I had used a conditioner with a bit of extra oompf – maybe not the same effect I would have wanted from a treatment but definitely more moisturising than just a regular conditioner. Leaving it on for 20 minutes gives me the same results as leaving it on for an hour (tbh it was left on for an hour partially due to laziness…I’d gotten to a good bit in my book and couldn’t be bothered to go rinse my hair…) Basically, this stuff is GENIUS. I love it, I will sing it’s praises forever (please don’t stop making it Tresemme!!), I use this every other day and it has rescued my hair. If you have over-processed hair I would recommend grabbing a tub of this ASAP – and it’s currently on offer inSuperdrug at £2.35… I’ll be stocking up on more tubs soon!
