Bahoma Candles – The philosophy of Fragrance REVIEW | Glam Radar

I picked up this Bahoma candle a few weeks back on a shopping trip in TK Maxx with the mother, and started using it loooong before taking the obligatory photos. Here is my review of Bahoma Candles – The philosophy of Fragrance ! Oooopsie. Bahoma are seen as quite the luxury brand when it comes to candles, with each one retailing at around the £25 mark. That’s probably extortionate to many people and I would I would normally agree but when you think how much people pay for a Jo Malone candle, well, that really is extortionate! I picked up this particular Bahoma candle, called Le Jardin, for a mere £4.99 I threw the box away before taking a photo (I know, silly me) but the photo above from the website shows it perfectly anyway. It’s quite a sturdy box with a simple, classic design that’s very minimal and appealing to the eye. When you take the candle out of the box it is encased in a solid glass holder with a simple pink label on it identifying the key fragrances; Pear, Casis, Iris, Violet, Syringa, Carnation, Rose and Musk. It does seem like having so many scents will make it quite over-powering but it doesn’t at all, what it does do though is fragrance the entire room whilst burning with a beautiful fresh, floral scent that immediately conjures up images of walking through a beautiful flower garden I really noticed how fragrant it was when I was burning it one evening in my room, had gone downstairs to get a drink and as I was walking back up the stairs I could smell it. My mum even noticed it, so I knew it was a good quality candle, as I’ve never noticed that before The candle will burn for approximately 75 hours, which if you pay full price for it, will cost you around 33pence per hour, making it quite the bargain. Considering I only paid £4.99, I’m getting each hour at less than 10pence!! So would I pay £25 once this one runs out and I find myself searching for more? Possibly yes, but only if I can’t get one in my local TK Maxx if I’m honest The reason why some candles, such as these are so expensive, is because they’re not made solely with cheap paraffin wax, which is why they burn for much longer than the average candle. As far as I know Bahoma don’t test on animals, but they also aren’tBUAV approved or Cruelty-free, so I’ll leave you to form your own opinions there Have any of you ever used a Bahoma candle before? What did you think?
