If there’s anything worth saving up for and splurging on, it’s a good pair of shoes. I think if everyone could afford it, they would go for an iconic pair of shoes simply because it makes a great addition to any wardrobe. We’ve seen lots of iconic shoes in tv and in movies, on the runways as well as in magazines. Unfortunately, often, these shoes cost an arm and a leg which is why we can only dream about having them. A girl can dream, anyway, right? Check out these fabulous pairs of iconic shoes that we can keep dreaming of and maybe even keep on getting inspired by.

  • Red sole Louboutin shoes – the iconic red lacquer sole trademark of Louboutin shoes have become a coveted prize in the shoe world. Not only have these shoes been one of the most wanted in the world, they’re also considered a status symbol for many since Louboutins, especially the red sole ones, can be quite pricey.

  • Dorothy’s ruby slippers – everyone who got to see The Wizard of Oz should remember these iconic ruby slippers that Dorothy wore. Though the shoes described in the novel were silver, the producers of the film decided to switch it up and use red for the film and, perhaps, it was one of the best decision they had made for the film since the ruby slippers stand today as one of the most iconic shoes of all time.

  • Julia Roberts knee high boots in Pretty Woman – Vivian (played by Roberts) didn’t have the most enviable life or job but, girl, if I had her body and the clothes in her closet, I’d flaunt what I have, too, and make the most out of them. Especially those long and slender legs which she clothed in those knee high PVC boots.
