SHISEIDO BENEFIANCE WRINKLERESIST24 NIGHT CREAM REVIEW | Glam Radar

Here is my review of SHISEIDO BENEFIANCE WRINKLERESIST24 NIGHT CREAM !

“An age-defying nighttime moisturizer that intensively addresses lines and wrinkles before they become more serious. Offers visible reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and helps promote silky-smooth skin condition while encouraging recovery by morning.”

I’ve been dabbling in Shiseido’s skincare line for the past few months and it’s hit or miss with their products. I’m big on moisturizers (besides my hair oil, I think face moisturizer is the one thing I’d crawl to the end of the Earth for. Ok, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but I’d starve for a week or two to get it!)

I love applying my skincare products at the end of the night, it’s the one thing I always make sure to do and I always feel somewhat pampered after doing it. It’s something important to me, and I feel like I’m taking care of myself as well.

Night Cream is important to me, I use it religiously and I have been since I was about 17 years old. I love seeing immediate results when I wake up in the morning, and feeling like my skin primed to start the day. I’ve tested and gone through numerous night creams. Usually I find that a product either works ok, with no exciting results, or it performs well and I’d repurchase it. Rarely do I find a night cream to be so awful that it’s worth returning. In fact, other than one other product, I’ve never returned a skincare item.

Unfortunately, Shiseido Benefiance WrinkleResist24 was a miss for me. It claims to target every step of wrinkle formation for youthful looking skin that can resist the signs of aging. It contains a revolutionary breakthrough ingredient called Mukurossi Extract which claims to directly inhibit the activity of a wrinkle triggering enzyme. This should in turn make skin resistant to future signs of aging while existing wrinkles are visibly improved.

Sounds great, right? I can’t report on anything other than the texture. I didn’t use the product long enough to see any results. The texture felt amazing once applied to my face. However, I could not get the product to absorb into my skin. At first I thought maybe this was my fault. When I say “I love face cream,” I mean “I REALLY LOVE FACE CREAM” I’m known to slather it on thick. I rarely use any of night products “generously.” So, knowing this, I kept cutting back using less and less. Still, the product felt slippery on my skin. In the morning, I could still feel the cream on the surface of my skin. Yet, after washing my face, it didn’t feel moisturized at all. I assume this to be because the product won’t absorb into my skin.

I have dry combination skin and usually don’t have this problem. My skin tends to soak up any kind of moisturizer that I apply.

On a good note, I’m ALWAYS happy to try a new product. On to the next!
