KAO RICH PREMIER ULTRA HONEY HAIR MASK REVIEW – Glam Radar

This product is an absolute godsend! I am seriously loving it so much at the moment and you literally all have to try it!  Kao Ultra Honey & Shea Butter mask is part of Koa’s ‘Essential Damage Care’ range which comes in two formulations ‘Nuance Airy’ for oily hair that can be easily weighed down and ‘Rich Premier’ for hair that needs that extra moisture and for glossy sleek styles.  I can not vouch for the shampoo and conditioners in the range because if I’m honest I have yet to try them, however this mask is absolutely amazing! I originally tried both this and the ‘Nuance Airy’ version it in a small sample size and this one came out top for me in terms of effect. So what is it? Well it’s a pretty standard hair mask, designed to be put on after you’ve washed your hair then rinsed out fifteen minutes later. This one however I do sometimes use as a pre-shampoo treatment on dry hair because it really is so incredibly rich!  The mask is enriched with pure honey, milk protein and shea butter to strengthen and protect the hair (wether these ingredients can actually penetrate the hair shaft to actually repair damage remains to be seen) and comes at such a reasonable price for the effect it achieves. In terms of consistency the mask is like a thick butter, much thicker than a conditioner and a great deal richer than a lot of hair masks available on the western market plus you get so much in the tub that it seems to last forever if used correctly.  It smells absolutely amazing, subtle hints of honey with a fruity base note whilst still smelling clean. It’s such a relaxing smell you can’t help but feel its doing amazing things while it’s on your hair.  As mentioned earlier I sometimes use it as a pre-shampoo treatment, and don’t really use it more than once a week because for me it’s too rich. I prefer it to the ‘Nuance Airy’ mask however as it leaves my hair feeling so nourished and looking healthy.   It’s great for coloured and damaged hair and I can imagine it working wonders on curly hair too as it really does bring the life back to your hair without leaving it feeling oily or sticky. I would stay away from this one if you suffer from oily hair though definitely give the ‘Nuance Airy’ line a go as though it’s much lighter but with the same amazing smell and results! You can get this intensive mask on Ebay and Sasa.com for a very good price, I completely urge you to try this one! It’s absolutely great! Have you tried any of the ‘Essential Damage Care’ line before, what did you think? What’s your all time favorite hair mask?
