Orange Blushes Trend – Glam Radar

by Jane · March 14, 2015

This year’s trendy color is tangerine (not very different from last year’s orange) so orange blushes and lipsticks are definitely in yet again!

orange-blushes-trend-500x281-1 Orange blushes can make you appear very clown-like if you use a heavy hand. Here are some tips to help you apply orange blush: 1) Use a stippling brush. The bristles of stippling brushes are dispersed out to give you a sheer application of any product you choose to use it with. Perfect for bright blushes! I use my MAC 187 but there are cheaper alternatives from Sigma and ELF.  orange-blushes-500x281-1

2) Tap the handle of your brush on your wrist. This gets rid of excess blush powder so you can apply the right amount of blush onto your face.
3) Gently swirl the brush onto your hand. This deposits most of the color onto your hand instead of your face so you can build up the color on your cheeks!

This is my collection of bright orange blushes ranging from matte, shimmery, to even glittery!  tangerine-blushes-500x342-2 orange-blushes-swatch-500x334-1 1) La Femme Orange ($3, matte red toned orange)– Beautiful inexpensive matte orange shade. One of the only low end true orange blush. 2) NARS Taj Mahal ($28, pumpkin orange with golden shimmer)– Taj Mahal has a radiant golden sheen that no other blush has. A must have for anyone with tan-dark skin! 3) Milani Corallina ($7, pinky coral with silver shimmer)– A coral blush that any one (even fair skin girls) can rock without looking like a clown. This has big glitters that need to be buffed out though. 4) Rock & Republic All Nighter ($40, red orange with golden shimmer)– A gorgeous in between red and orange blush that gives a nice rosy flush to the cheeks. 5) Rock & Republic Immoral ($40, matte neon red orange)– Although looks similar to All Nighter, this blush has a pop of neon for those who are truly daring! 6) NARS Cactus Flower ($28, red orange with golden shimmer)– This is a cream blush that’s great to wear alone or underneath a blush to give a pop of orange tint.

If I were to choose only one orange blush… I’d choose NARS Taj Mahal.
