Olay Rengenerist Anti-Ageing Eye Roller Review – Glam Radar

Hi beauties here is my Olay Rengenerist Anti-Ageing Eye Roller Review!

If there is a brand out there that has a reputation for consistently delivering a performing product at a reasonable price point, it has to be Olay. I was recently given the Olay Regenerist Anti-Ageing Eye Rollerto try and it’s completely different than any other eye cream/serum/gel that I’ve ever used.

First, some information about the product itself.

Olay Regenerist Anti-Ageing Eye Roller is a concentrated treatment that fights the signs of ageing in the eye area. It provides visible, dramatic anti-ageing results in just 30 seconds. The innovative pen-shaped applicator features three precision micro-rollers that gently massage the skin surface. The product immediately helps reduce the look of puffiness, and at the same time, a concentrated amino-peptide formula helps fight the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Key Ingredients:
Pal-KTTS – the anti-ageing super amino peptide complex that is found in all products across the Olay Regenerist range
Caffeine – scientifically proven to hydrate the skin’s surface to reduce dryness
Dimethicone – a type of silicone that feels like silk on the skin. It is also used for improving the appearance of scars
Tocopheryl Acetate – vitamin E is known for its antioxidant and moisturising properties

The reason I think this product is so interesting and unique is because of the packaging and pen-ness (sorry I know that’s not a word but you can see what it looks like below). The way it works is that you click the button at the end and it dispenses product through the rollerballs at the top.  My pic below is after I’ve used it so you can see the product residue left.

Here’s what it looks like when you use it. The consistency is a thin gel that glides on really easily and isn’t sticky. It’s not a fussy eye product, you don’t have to work quickly, and it settles on my eye area without leaving a filmy residue.

So, does it work?

I’ve been using the Olay Eye Roller for about 4 weeks now, morning and night. If I’m looking for results after 30 seconds like they claim, then I have to be honest and say that I don’t see dramatic, instant results. I have quite puffy eyes in the morning (as evidenced by some of my face of the day posts taken early in the morning!) and I haven’t seen a huge reduction from when I apply the eye roller, to when I’m doing my eye makeup a few minutes later.

I’m also quite conscious that I’m developing a bit of a wrinkle under one eye that I want gone (even though I’m probably the only one that knows its there) and after 4 weeks I can’t say the eye roller has done anything to erase it either.

However over time, I think it has actually reduced the puffyness that I get in the mornings. Ok so the results aren’t instant like they claim, but I’m definitely seeing less of a puff than I did earlier. I just wish I’d thought to take some before and after photos that I could show you!

The reason I know there’s a difference is because I had a passport photos taken about 4 weeks ago that I was incredibly unhappy with because you could see my dark circles and puffyness. I had some more taken over the weekend and they’re so much better! The only thing I’ve done differently has been the Olay Regenerist Anti-Ageing Eye Roller. I didn’t even get a sleep in the second time around. I can’t show you the photos though because… I’m paranoid. You’ll just have to trust me.

Handy tip: I got better results when I kept this in the fridge and then applied it. The cooling sensation works well to reduce puffyness, but you can do that with virtually any eye cream if puffy eyes are a concern for you.

Is it worth buying? To be honest, probably not. The main thing that puts me off is the cost. Even though Olay isn’t marketed as a premium brand, I think this product (especially for how much you get) has a premium cost. I don’t think I’m alone in thinking it’s fairly expensive for what it is.

To compare, for the same price I can buy the Dr Perricone Vitamin C Eye Serum on Skinstore which is more than twice the size (15ml, 0.5oz). Even if I bought Dr Perricone at Mecca Cosmetica, I’m still looking at a roughly equivalent price, for more than double the product, that includes Vitamin C, my hero skincare ingredient. It’s simple math and unfortunately Olay just doesn’t measure up.

The Olay Regenerist Anti-Ageing Eye Roller is 6ml (0.2 oz) and retails for $49.99 AUD. For stocklists and to find out more, visitwww.olay.com.au or call 1800 028 280
