NYX Cream Blushes in Orange, Natural and Glow review , swatches | Glam Radar

Hi beauties here is my NYX Cream Blushes in Orange, Natural and Glow Review and Swatches!

More delicious than peaches and cream? We like to think so. Our velvety smooth mineral cream blush offers a sheer wash of radiant color. The glorious payoff is dewy, sultry and long-lasting.

I’ve been looking after a friend’s tiny little hobby farm for the past month, and I haven’t been wearing cream blushes at all. In fact, I only had one blush there with me, MAC Mineralize Blush in Dainty. Now I am returning to my normal life, I’ll be all up in my NYX Cosmetics Cream Blushes ($6.50 USD) for real.

[I just need to digress and talk about my house-sitting situation for a minute. I’ve been looking after two alpacas, eleven chickens, a cat, fish, three possums and a family of magpies. It’s been like playing an elaborate and extended game of make believe. I’ve been delighted with myself all the time.

I’d go onto the porch and put my gumboots on and say, “I am putting on my gumboots. Look at me in my gumboots.”

Then I’d walk down to the chicken coop to collect the eggs and say, “I am collecting the eggs. Look at me being a farmer.”

Oh yes, I refer to myself as a farmer in everyday conversation now. All I want to talk about is how to form an emotional bond with a pair of alpacas, whether a broody chicken will starve itself to death due to competing biological imperatives, or the urgency of a tetanus shot after I get bitten by a possum.]

I picked up these three NYX Cream Blushes – in Orange, Natural and Glow – a little while back over at CherryCulture.com for fifty percent off.

The colours Natural and Glow are both pretty and wearable pinks, while Orange is more shocking and bright. I find that I wear Natural the most, and that it’s a less coral/pinker version of my MAC Cremeblend Blush in Something Special (my favourite).

The texture and finish are quite different from my MAC Cremeblend Blushes, though. The NYX Cream Blushes are much more soft and slippery in texture (meaning they are not as long-wearing as my MAC Cremeblend Blushes, but perfectly adequate if a powder blush is layered on top), and in terms of finish I find it is much easier to ‘over-do’ the NYX Cream Blushes. The NYX Cream Blushes are very pigmented, and as you may be able to see in the arm swatches, if left un-blended the NYX Cream Blushes sit on top of the skin quite obviously (I tend to use a stippling brush to apply cream blushes, which seems to eradicate this problem.)
