My Nose Job   before and after , check my Rhinoplasty results here !

The Reveal!

As you know, I had my nose cast taken off on Thursday. The picture below is the first official photo of my new nose! As soon as I got into my car after the appointment I just had to take a cheeky picture and send it to Holly as I couldn’t keep her waiting any longer

 Cast off

Having the cast removed itself was quite painful as you can imagine, my nose is quite sore to touch. It felt like my nose was being ripped off and I won’t lie, it did hurt a bit, but it probably only took about 2 minutes. When it was off I was really nervous to go and have a look in the mirror, expecting to be really shocked by my appearance but I didn’t feel like that at all when I did.

It was still me staring back at myself in the mirror, albeit a slightly improved version!
Of course, there’s still A LOT of swelling which will take a few weeks, if not months, to completely disappear. The nurse warned me that my nose might swell up a little more before it gets better and I do think since the initial photo above that is has done slightly. From the front I look a bit like I’ve been punched in the face – I think face on my nose actually looks bigger than it was before surgery just because it’s swelled up so much. It doesn’t feel like a proper nose to touch, instead of feeling bones it’s just a bit soft and squishy. A little sore but other than that no pain at all.

I do need to point out that this is NOT the final result. I’m absolutely thrilled with how it looks already and for the first time in my life I don’t hate my profile- I actually LOVE it! But there is still a lot of swelling at the top of the bridge so I’ve been told that in a few weeks it will be even straighter. I did ask the surgeon for a slightly sloped bridge rather than a totally straight one, so that will be revealing itself over the coming weeks. My new nose also has a slight upturn which it didn’t have before but I asked to be done and I really like it.

From the front, like I mentioned previously, it looks massively swollen. I’ll take pictures each week as it goes down and will do a second update in a few weeks.

Overall I’m really, really happy with how my surgery turned out in the end, the whole experience was great and I don’t have any complaints. I used the Harley Medical Group for my nose job and would totally recommend them. Obviously, I don’t have any other experience with different cosmetic surgery providers though, so can’t compare completely but if I ever wanted anything else doing I would definitely go back to them in the future.

If you’ve ever considered getting a nose job yourself and thought it’s something you would like, then I would really advise you to go for a free consultation (all of the major providers offer this) which is totally no obligation. When I went for mine I still wasn’t sure I would go through with it and I walked out with a surgery date in my diary. It was the final little push I needed to do it and I’m SO glad I did.

If you’re scared of the thought of pain then don’t be, the whole thing was pretty painless and in JUST 10 days with a little bit of makeup you look normal again and can get on with the rest of your life feeling confident!
