Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer Review | Glam Radar

Firstly I want to apologise sincerely for my lack of posts for what seems like forever! Without going into too much detail I have had a lot going on in my personal life and my blog unfortunately took a back seat. With all that said though, I am now back and more excited than ever about writing my blog for you all again. Here is my review of Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer ! A big thank you to all my followers and readers for sticking by though, I really appreciate it. Any way, all that said I want to review a new-ish product to the market, which I think has been around for a while however I have only just recently got my hands on it and used it for a a couple of weeks. Nivea Daily Essentials: Express Hydration Primer I picked this up from my local Asda, after seeing it being advertised on TV and wanting to try it for some time, however when I went on the hunt for it in Boots and Super drug it was always sold out. So when I saw it for just £4.00 it found itself in my basket (Ooop’s!!) It comes in two varieties one for Dry and Sensitive Skin, and for Normal and Combination Skin. I picked up the one for Normal and Combination skin as my skin can be de hydrated, however I do get some blemishes around my chin area…so I guessed that this would be the best choice for me. It comes in a box, and the product itself is in a glass jar with a screw top lid, holding 50 ml of product. One thing I would say is that the size of the box was a little misleading as i was expecting a larger jar but that’s just a small issue. The product itself is a dual product in that it claims to moisturise and provide a smooth base for an effective make up application. Although it  contains silicone, it doesn’t have that typical silicone feel that some primers on the market have..which for me is excellent! I would describe the texture to be of a gel/cream consistency and when applied feels light and refreshing on the skin. I also love the fact that it absorbs quickly and also left my skin feeling hydrated and soft. When I applied my usual foundation over the top (Bourjouis Healthy Mix) it applied like a dream, and seemed to blend in a lot easier. I can also confirm that my make up lasted through out the whole day, and still looked as fresh that afternoon. I am really happy with this product, it is a handy 2-in-1 product which is great for travelling and make up on the go. For the price of £4.00 I also think it is a bargain, and would definitely repurchase it when I run out. I think it is a lovely product for the up and coming spring/summer months with its light texture, and i like the fact that it absorbs almost instantly. Have you tried this product? Is it something you would recommend to others?
