Juicetou 3 Day Detox Review – Glam Radar

by Sammie · June 2, 2015

My weight is something that I’ve been trying to change since May and although I know I’m not huge, I’d like to feel healthier within myself. I’ve taken up a regular exercise routine, stopped eating so much rubbish and tried to get myself in a decent shape. One that I’m happy with. Juicetou were looking for bloggers to review their 3 day detox kit and because of me being stuck on the weight I’m at now, I wanted to try it. Detoxing isn’t only for losing weight, it’s to help get rid of all the bad toxins in your body. You can also:

  • Improve energy levels and feel less sluggish
  • Gain greater vitality, mental clarity and concentration
  • Improve complexion
  • Gain healthier hair and nails
  • Gain a stronger immune system
  • Boost your metabolism
  • Change of mentality towards nutrition.

Although there can be side effects to the detox. You may feel tired, nausea and headaches. This is because your body is getting rid of all toxins that are in your system due to individual lifestyles. juicetou-3-day-detox-500x375-1 During the detox you should drink at least 2 litres of water a day. You can drink fruit teas but no green tea. You shouldn’t exercise either. juicetou-3-day-detox-review-500x375-1 juicetou-3-day-detox-review2-500x375-1 So, the 9am drink was “Clean Green”. This was the one that really didn’t appeal to me and just so happens to be the one that you have to drink at 3pm throughout the detox too. Great. It’s just the fact that it’s green and you can tell it’s not going to taste nice with a blend of cucumber, spinach, celery, apples and limes. I’m not a massive salad/veg person so I wasn’t looking forward to it! There’s definitely a distinct taste of celery and cucumber, which were the ones that I don’t like. Just had to think of the benefits. It says on the bottle that by drinking this you will receive more nutrients than people do in a week. Must be good for you! juicetou-3-day-detox-review3-500x375-1 juicetou-3-day-detox-review4-500x375-1 The 12pm drink contained oranges, apples, kiwis, grapes and strawberries. The aim of the “Lets Glow” drink was to cleanse the digestive system and radiate the skin. I eat a fair amount of fruit and its normally pretty varied so I was looking forward to drinking it. It was a little bitty but I didn’t really mind that because most smoothies are. I really enjoyed this juice and would take this up as a daily juice if I could! The 3pm juice was the same as the 9am juice. I can’t say I was enjoying this one but I drank it nonetheless and definitely felt better from drinking it. I think the more I drank of it the more I started to enjoy the taste of cucumber and celery! juicetou-3-day-detox-review5-500x375-1 juicetou-3-day-detox-review6-500x375-1 The 6pm juice was called “Berry Good”. This was a purple coloured one which contained pineapple, blueberries, strawberries, apples and raspberries. Berry Good was bursting with antioxidants that play a massive part in keeping cardiovascular system in top shape. Again, the idea of the fruit sunk well with me so I was again looking forward to this one. I wasn’t wrong either – it was lovely! I would again drink this daily. Day One – I woke up and I wasn’t particularly hungry but I never normally wake up and I’m hungry straight away. When I realised I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Clean Green juice I was feeling a bit deflated thinking “only 11 more juices left!” but by lunchtime I was feeling a lot better. I was starting to think that I was a little hungry but not too bad. Tea time was a little torture because I was sat around my family eating but I went to bed and I wasn’t feeling too bad! Day Two – I woke up and I was feeling a little bit hungry from the previous day. By lunch time I was starting to think “maybe I should just eat” but I resisted and I’m so glad I did. I got home from work that evening and realised that I probably would have just grabbed something small after a busy day and then I pushed it to the back of my head. Day Three – I must admit that by now I was beginning to feel that I was going to cave because I am used to eating three meals a day. All I needed was to remind myself about how much better I was going to feel afterwards and I definitely felt better afterwards! I lost 6lbs over the 3 days which I was overly impressed with. I don’t think I can tell within my body because I wasn’t really bloated or anything to start with but I feel better in myself with getting past that mark that I was stuck on within my weight loss. I’ve now lost a total of 25lbs when writing this post and have around 7-8lbs left before I hit my goal. My skin feels a lot better! It feels a lot softer and clearer too. I did feel very tired on the Friday (day three) after the detox because I obviously didn’t have any fuel in my body to keep me going (its to be expected!). I really would recommend this detox to anyone, for if you’re wanting to lose a few pounds or to include it into your lifestyle it can suit anyone. It can be a little hard because if you’re like me you will want to eat but it’s definitely changed my views on how and what I should be eating. The three day detox costs £79.99 and can be bought here. They also do a 5 day detox which I would be intregued to try now I know I can get through the 3 day one which costs £129.99. Perfect for those special occasions where you need to look your best!
