Gosh Velvet Touch Foundation Primer Clear Review – Glam Radar

I’ve become a little fixated by primers of late – so much so that when I don’t wear a primer, I obsess about it all day (slight exaggeration permitted). This is somewhat remarkable considering I have spent approximately twenty-two of my twenty-five years completely ignorant about the very existence of primer.

GOSH Velvet Touch Foundation Primer is a little bit of a revelation. This colourless gel easily glides over the skin to give a wonderfully smooth, velvet finish. And not that cheap velvet that sends shivers down your spine – think luxury. This primer creates the perfect base for make-up, and foundation looks immaculate when applied on top. For me, one of the most essential parts of a primer is to make foundation last longer and happily, this primer does just that. Whilst I can’t say that at half-five my make-up looks just as fresh as it did at eight that morning, I certainly don’t look away with complete revulsion when I look in the mirror.

GOSH Velvet Touch Foundation Primer gains extra brownie points for its ability to fill in fine lines; whilst this isn’t by any stretch of the imagination a miracle cure, and lines are still visible, their appearance is certainly reduced.

This is a great little primer. Whilst I do prefer both Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Relax Complex and Clarins Beauty Flash Balm for both its double whammy of a moisture boost, this is a very good substitute for when the purse strings are slightly tighter. Priced at £13 and available from Superdrug. Oh and the title? A little bit of a tenuous link to that floor filler from 2005 (I am old)…
