Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer vs Almay Bright Eyes Eye Base+Concealer – Glam Radar

I’m on the search for my HG concealer. I was trying to pass the time, so I hit up a local Grocery Outlet. There are always good finds there. I saw these two concealers and decided to get them, LOOK HOW CHEAP! lol The concealers I normally use are L’Oreal True Match & Revlon Photoready. I hate them both. The true match seemed okay but I’ve noticed a burning feeling when applying so I won’t wear it anymore and the Photoready concealer creases a lot and I feel it doesn’t do anything. SO! I’m still searching. Now, I don’t have bad dark circles or anything, but they are a little dark because I’m a mom and I don’t get all the sleep I need. I have those lines…the circles just not dark. I also get some blemishes. Most concealers I’ve tried, I don’t notice a difference. ANYWAYS! Here are the two I got: Maybelline Mineral Power Concealer [in Beige for Medium 2-4]: I found this concealer to be kind of liquidy. Although it blended very easily and gave good coverage. After wearing for 4 hours I noticed a slight bit of creasing. The color was a good match for me. It has a doe applicator and I like that because you don’t get a lot of product and you can just dot it easily under the eye or on spots. It’s a small tube but looks like a good amount of product. Didn’t notice creasing throughout the day. Color System Match throughout the line Color matched me really well Amazing base for eyeshadows   Almay Bright Eyes Eye Base+Concealer [in 145 Medium]: I’ve been wanting to try an Almay concealer and right away grabbed this. I bought it because it claimed to be a base and also depuff and reduce the appearance of dark circles. I went to use it, and right away noticed a bit of a problem. I love that it’s a squeeze tube, but it’s a plastic brush for an applicator and when I squeezed, I did it slowly and all of a sudden there was a lot of product. So it was messy and gave me way more than I needed, Lesson Learned. I’ll go even slower next time. Good coverage though I really liked it. The consistency of it is great, it’s creamy and not thick but not liquidy. I like it. It blends well and creates a nice base for eyeshadow but not like it claimed. Applicator causes too much to get out Limited color selection, especially for dark skin tones [Top: Almay Concealer, Bottom: Maybelline Concealer] All blended using my finger to pat it in Showing how they can be used as an eyeshadow base. As you can see, the bottom swatch was the eyeshadow alone. Right above is the eyeshadow over the Maybelline Concealer At the top is the eyeshadow over the Almay Concealer
