Sample Sunday – MAC Prep + Prime Skin Base Visage Review | Glam Radar

I got this little sample in an order last Christmas and it’s taken me all the time to get round to trying it.Here is my review of Sample Sunday – MAC Prep + Prime Skin Base Visage ! 

Was it worth the wait? Meh. They make a lot of fancy claims and it doesn’t really live up to them for me.

It claims to soothe the skin (can’t tell to be honest), blot excess oil (not at all) and even out redness (nope). The texture is a strange one. It’s kind of like a thin, white watery mousse. It does a nice enough job of providing a smooth base for foundation I suppose but it doesn’t fill in pores like most of my primers do. It doesn’t do much of anything actually.

I don’t notice it prolonging the wear of my foundation either. I suppose on the plus side it doesn’t irritate my skin and hasn’t caused any break outs. It just doesn’t do anything bad to my skin but it doesn’t do anything amazing either. Perhaps it’s my skin type. I favour polyfiller for pores with a super matte finish and this doesn’t do either of those things for me. £18 for 30ml? I don’t think so! x
