MAC Dupe Brushes – Glam Radar
MAC brushes are pretty pricey! I only have a Special Edition set that I purchased from a CCO, the rest of my brushes are a hodge-podge of different brands: Avon, Sonia Kashuk (love these!) EDM, Essence of Beauty and more…
However, the majority of my eye brushes are actually from Loew-Cornell, who makes paint brushes. I usually get my brushes from crafts stores, such as Michaels.
Enkore on YouTube has a GREAT video about MAC brush dupes.
However, for those of you on dial up (gasp!) or don’t like to watch videos, I have written the list for you below:
MAC 150 Large Powder Brush= Loew Cornell XXL Round
MAC 129 Blush Brush= Loew Cornell L Round
MAC 134 Large Powder (saddle shape) = Loew Cornell Maxine Mop 1 inch
MAC 239 Eye Shadow/Shading Brush= Loew Cornell Maxine Mop 3/8 inch
MAC 194 Concealer Brush= Loew Cornell Filbert #8
MAC 228 Mini Shader Brush= Loew Cornell Maxine Mop 1/2 inch
MAC 190 Foundation Brush= Loew Cornell Filbert 1 inch
I have all of these brushes (!) and love them. Keep in mind that they look like what they are: paint brushes and tend to have longer handles… Also, the brushes are a LOT cheaper than MAC ones…
Please watch the video if possible, Enkore actually shows the brushes side by side and provides much more information.
