Kelly Brook for New Look polish with L’OREAL Confetti top coat review – Glam Radar

Hi lovelies, so its Sunday yet again and I’m here to share with you my Nails Of The Week. This week I wanted to test out the nail varnish I got from New Look, it was only £2.99 so I didn’t have high hopes for the polish consistency or how opaque it would be.

I also chose to use the L’OREAL Confetti top coat again, I just love this polish as the confetti is different sizes and its got a slight glitter to it too. However the one problem I have with it is that its a nightmare to take off! No matter how much I soak the cotton pads, they seem grip onto the confetti and I end up with cotton attached to my nail which is not good when you want to remove your polish quickly – also this sensation makes me go all funny, I hate it!

I was actually really surprised with the Kelly Brook for New Look polish, I got the shade Candy Girl, which is a Barbie pink colour and initially on my first impressions I thought it would take a lot of coats to get the opaqueness I like; in fact it only took two coats and it dried really quickly. I love the packaging as its so cute and girly – I think its a similar shape to the new Rimmel Salon Pro polishes, what do you think? The brush is thin which I’m not a fan of and the smell is not the usual polish smell; instead it smells a bit sweet and I’m not sure I like that.

Overall I’m very impressed with this impulse buy, I would quite happily buy another and recommend it to friends. The things I don’t like I can easily look past as they are only small things, a £2.99 well spent me thinks!
