Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Moss | Glam Radar

I was debating putting this post up because I’m not fully enamoured with the Kate Moss Matte Lipsticks as I expected to be after loving the original Kate Moss lippys.  That’s not to say that I don’t like ALL of them, on the contrary, I really like one out of the three I bought.  And it’s the one that I only bought because someone (who I can’t remember, sorry! :0/ ) on Twitter said they don’t normally wear red lips but this matte red is really wearable and on that basis figured I’d give it a go.  What a touch to find I love it!

Okay, so formula wise it’s really smooth and non-drying, the scent is subtle unlike the originals’ but I like the originals’ scent, still.  The pigmentation is good, a couple of swipes to make it even is what I did but it could be good with just the one good swipe too.  On to the swatches, first the ones I’m not keen on….

And my favourite is… 107!!  A gorgeous deep red.  Stunning.  The reason why I don’t like the others is because on my lips they make me look really bleugh and kind of ill?  I think they’re the wrong tone for my skin, the pink is too light and I don’t do nude lips.  The orange I was really excited for but for some reason looks horrid on me.  :’0(     Kate Moss Matte Lipstick in 107

But the deep red is a stunner and I totally did not expect to like it at all!!  How funny to find it to be my fave. I do recommend wearing a lip liner with these though, I think the line needs to be sharp for the red…
