L’Occitane Repairing Shine Mask Review | Glam Radar

by Maria · June 3, 2014

Hello lovelies!

A ridiculous amount of samples has somehow been collected at the back of my beauty drawer, so I thought I’d make a little series to try and help combat the miniature menaces! This morning, I picked out three little sachets and a mini-tub from my never-ending pile! Here is my review of L’Occitane Repairing Shine Mask !

First up, a product I’ve heard lots about and was very excited to try out! LUSH Happy Happy Joy Joy Conditioner smells immensely cheery and refreshing, plus it has almond milk! I love using almond milk on my skin and hair (I use it as a base for many of my homemade soaps!) so I was happy to see that on the ingredient label. It weighed my hair down a bit but the lovely smell lingered for a good three hours, which is good!
Purchase? Yes – if my debit card can take it, that is!

The L’Occitane Repairing Shine Mask has been lingering in the drawer of doom of products-to-try, but since discovering Hask hair masks, I haven’t strayed from them. I wasn’t overly impressed as it was a bit messy to apply and I didn’t see or feel any noticeable improvements.
Purchase? No.

Clarins Teint Lift Eclat Super Restoration Foundation SPF15 – now there’s a hyped-up product for you! I’ve read lots about it and unlike most other foundation samples in my stash, this one was actually my shade –practically translucent, if you’re wondering! I liked it. It blended in easily but the coverage was a bit heavy for me – for now, I’ll be sticking to more lightweight foundations! The amount was very generous, though, and there’s probably enough for 3 or 4 more uses in there.
Purchase? No – also too expensive and too much coverage for me!

I’m not a huge fan of perfumes, but there are so many dinky samples lingering between the foundations, skincare, and other haircare bits in my to-try-drawer that I had to give one a go! The one I chose wasGivenchy Ange ou Etrange, which has a very unique scent. It’s very deep and dark and musky with a hint of aniseed, saffron and citrus. Odd? Definitely. It faded after about an hour which was a good thing as I didn’t really like it. Personally, I prefer light, floral scents, and even if I did like stronger scents, I’m not sure this one would be my pick!
Purchase? Definitely not!

Four samples tried and tested and only one which I might consider purchasing – quite a good result if you ask me! I’ve already got my eye on which ones I should give a whirl next week.. at this rate, my stash will be diminished within a short while!

Thanks for reading! xo
