Hello there pretties here is my Lancome L’absolu Rouge – 182 Review!

I’ve never owned anything from Lancome so when I was offered this lipstick to try out I was intrigued, not only is it the most perfect red I’ve ever come across it’s also the best introduction I could have hoped to get when it comes to all things Lancome, it’s official this is a freaking love affair!

I’m going to start by saying the packaging made me swoon, it’s so fancy, it has a magnetic lid (ooooooh), it’s seriously swish, sleek and all-round lovely and made me feel ever so slightly like a proper grown up.

The lipstick itself is beautiful, it’s a bright red/pink shade which compliments my paper white complexion to a T, in the bullet it looks shimmery however on the lip this translates into a high gloss shine which is a relief for a glitter-phobe like myself. Not only is it packed with colour it also contains Pro-Xylane™, a molecule that makes your lips look fuller without that uncomfortable tingling feeling you get with other plumping lip products.
Application is a breeze, the formula is so creamy it just glides straight on, smoothing out the lip as it goes, one swipe is incredibly pigmented and results in a gorgeous raspberry colour. Another application on top of this and you have the perfect red.
The lasting power is fantastic, it survived me eating, drinking, chatting and an hour long nap, it didn’t budge for 5/6 hours and when it eventually started to move it didn’t leave any awkward patches, it just faded evenly into a shade a little darker than my own lip colour.
I absolutely adore this lipstick, it’s not one I’d wear everyday, it’s far too nice for that!. It’s one I will wear on special occasions, date nights, anniversaries and most probably the entirety of the Christmas season.
