Revlon Just Kissable Balm Stain Crush – Glam Radar

Here is my review of Revlon Just Kissable Balm Stain Crush !

I guess you can consider myself late to the Revlon Just Kissible Balm Stain game, but I haven’t cared about Revlon in months, so I’ve had no interest in buying any new products from them. CVS has some shades from this product on clearance for 75% off and that is the only reason I bought this. It only cost me 2.32$ plus some tax.

What is it? Revlon calls this a “pampering balm fused with a lightweight lipstain in an adorable chubby crayon” and it “gives softer, smoother lips with a perfect flush of colour that lasts hour after hour.” Is this a chubby crayon that is similar to the Tarte LipSurgence? Yes. Is it adorable? No, it isn’t, so Revlon, you need to realize life isn’t Twilight and you can stop fluffing up your makeup products. This is just a plain ol’ crayon. Nothing adorable about it, let’s be honest. The best thing about this sort of packaging is that it is a retractable crayon. Yes, you read that correctly. Finding a sharpener big enough is not necessary.

Crush is a deep berry shade. This is the only shade out of all the ones available for clearance (I don’t remember all the shades that are on clearance.). I’ve been more interested in finding darker shades for the winter season. The first time I tried this, I wasn’t incredibly impressed with it since the crayon tugged on my lips and didn’t apply the product very well. I felt like I really had to swipe and swipe and swipe to get any good colour pay off. I think this might have been because my lips weren’t very moisturized. I tried it again a few days later, with a good layer of lip balm, and the result was much better. Very nice colour pay off and application wasn’t a total pain. These are not the most moisturizing things in the world. In fact, it didn’t give me any extra moisture. The lip balm I had on before would have done and did do all the work. But this isn’t a drying product either. It feels very comfortable on. Unfortunately, I can’t say it leaves me with smoother lips in the end. The product has worn off on me almost completely now and I can tell my lips are starting to peel. These do last a good few hours, but once you start drinking or eating something, it will start to fade and it actually fades unevenly for me. The colour will be gone on the inside of my lip so I’m left with what looks like I put on too much lip liner only one the edge of my lips and then decided not to fill it in. When most of the product has faded, the stain actually looks more of a dark pink than a berry. Overall, I do think this is a good product. Would I be interested in buying other shades? No, not even with clearance prices. As much as I think this is a good product, I’ve just no interest in the other shades and having more crayons in general. So, what do you think? Do you have these? How do you like them? If you don’t have any of these, would you be interested in buying any of them to try out?
